Donald Miller has traveled to Rwanda on numerous occasions to conduct research with survivors of the 1994 genocide. He and Lorna Touryan Miller have conducted numerous interviews and trained survivors to initiate their own oral history projects. Past projects have resulted in a photo essay and exhibition, "Orphans of the Rwanda Genocide: Portraits of Survival and Hope.: Donald Miller and Lorna Touryan Miller are currently engaged in an oral history project on "Healing, Forgiveness and Reconciliation in Post-Genocide Rwanda" in partnership with New Vision Partners. USC psychologist Beth Meyerowitz serves as a consultant on the project.
